The on-loan striker is yet to kick a ball in anger for the club – FIVE months after joining from Shakhtar Donetsk.

But head coach Carver says the 23-year-old is still a United player, though he has an injury.

“He’s injured at the moment,” said Carver. “He’s had a problem with his back.”

Meanwhile, defender Paul Dummett has a hamstring problem and won’t be involved against Hull City tomorrow.

The game has come too soon for fit-again Siem de Jong, but Gabriel Obertan could be named on the bench.

“Dummett is injured this weekend, but should be back training again on Monday,” said Carver.

“It’s definitely too early for Siem, but Gabby has a good chance of being on the bench.”
