But United manager Pardew could be without the trio for the club’s return to North London.

“Papiss has a heavy cold,” said Pardew.

“We’ll have to see how he is.

“Cheik has a slight strain, so they are the two worries for Saturday’s game.

“Mike Williamson has a slight problem.”

Pardew, however, will have midfielder Moussa Sissoko and defender Steven Taylor back from suspension.

The pair both served one-game bans at the weekend.

And both could start at White Hart Lane, where the tie will be decided on penalties if necesary.

Meanwhile, Pardew has predicted a bright England future for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

The 21-year-old is busily making a name for himself at White Hart Lane after emerging from the Academy ranks.

Pardew, while wary of him ahead of the tie, is excited by him as an Englishman.

The 53-year-old – who watched Kane score in Sunday’s 2-1 Premier League victory at Swansea – said: “I think he is fabulous.

“I watched him on Sunday, and when you have got an English striker who can do 13km at pace and have the quality and technical ability in the box, (England manager) Roy Hodgson should count himself very lucky.”
