Nicky Featherstone feels 'something is changing' at Hartlepool United as National League play-off push continues
Nicky Featherstone marked a big Hartlepool United milestone over the weekend with his 250th appearance for the club.
It may have been a disappointing afternoon for the midfielder as Pools were beaten 1-0 by Ebbsfleet United at Victoria Park, but the bigger picture is looking far brighter.
After six seasons at Victoria Park, Featherstone is arguably enjoying his best campaign in a Pools shirt to date.
And the 31-year-old feels the reason behind that is: “[This season] is the first time since I've been here that there has been real stability at the club – that’s a massive help.
“The lads who have come in are really enjoying it. I’ve been here when it’s been tough to play but they’ve been brilliant and will play a huge part.
“There is a feeling that something is changing. We’ve got a manager [Dave Challinor] that expects and demands quality and hard work every single day which only helps us.”
