Point at Hull City could prove vital for Sunderland
That’s the opinion of Sunderland head coach Gus Poyet, who says the point earned at the KC Stadium on Tuesday night could make the difference at the end of the campaign.
Sunderland had looked to be heading for another defeat when they trailed Hull with just under a quarter of an hour left on the clock.

Hide AdBut Rodwell’s goal 13 minutes from time salvaged a precious point for the Black Cats.
The draw increased the gap between Sunderland and the relegation zone to four points, despite the poor performance.
And Poyet says that could be crucial in the final analysis in May.
“No doubt that point could be vital at the end of the season,” said Poyet.

Hide Ad“There are many games in the season that you remember because maybe you lost to a side in a game you controlled.
“But somehow you don’t remember the ones you win when you do not deserve the three points.
“It’s a very important point in a very difficult game.
“For long periods, it looked like it (the game) was going away from us.
“We kept trying, although we couldn’t create too many chances.
“But I can tell you that we tried as much as we could.”
