After a goalless first half, Pools trailed to a fine strike by Tom Knowles shortly after the restart.
But Luke Armstrong’s eighth goal of the season and a last-minute strike from Gavan Holohan set up brilliantly by Joe Grey helped Dave Challinor’s side come away with the win and go up to third.

Beaten from distance but made a great save in the first half to deny Murphy and remained alert throughout. Photo: Frank Reid
2. David Ferguson - 6
Put in a couple of decent balls from the left but just couldn’t pick out a man. Saw an ambitious effort sail wide in the first half. Photo: Mark Fletcher
3. Gary Liddle - 7
His experience has been missed at the back. Made a great block to deny Murphy in the first half. Booked. Photo: Christopher Booth
4. Ryan Johnson - 6
Started well but gave his man too much space in the build up to Yeovil’s opening goal. A no nonsense display for the most part. Photo: Mark Fletcher
