The new Pools boss has drawn his opening two National League games in charge at the club 2-2. Both fixtures saw the home side trail 2-0 before turning things around in the final 20-minutes to snatch a point.
And after going four league matches without a win, Hartlepool will be keen to get back to winning ways and start moving up the table against a Chesterfield side who have struggled to get going in the opening half of the campaign.
