Raj Singh confirms Hartlepool United seeking new Chief Operating Officer with former Hearts and Darlington man Martin Jesper set to step down

Jesper was brought to Pools on an interim basis following the departure of chief executive Mark Maguire in June 2020.
He has been managing things behind the scenes at Hartlepool while the club battled the uncertainties and difficulties caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Hide AdAnd with the former Darlington CEO’s contract at Victoria Park set to expire, Pools have stated they are looking to recruit a full-time chief operating officer to be responsible for the day to day operations at the club.
Jesper will continue to provide support during the recruitment process before moving onto new ‘consultancy projects’.
In a club statement, chairman Raj Singh commented: “I would like to thank Martin for his professionalism and all the hard work to date during what has undoubtedly been the single most challenging period for a football club to operate in.
"When Martin leaves at the end of his contract, he will do so with everyone’s best wishes from the club.

This week has also seen club director Ian Scobbie resign from his position at the club though The Mail understands that Pools are not looking to find a replacement for him with the incoming chief operating officer not being listed as a director.
