Two goals from new Pools signing Luke Armstrong gave Dave Challinor’s side all three points and helped them record a first home victory since the opening day of the season.
Challinor made six changes to his side following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat by Boreham Wood and altered his side’s formation to play with two strikers.
