Revealed! Hartlepool United fixtures unveiled for new League Two campaign after promotion success

Hartlepool United will kick-off their League Two campaign and return to the Football League at home to Crawley Town, it has been revealed.

The fixtures for the 2021-22 campaign have been released this morning and Pools start and end the season at The Vic in front of their home fans.

The new season gets underway on Saturday, August 7, with Dave Challinor's side handed a home game.

Their first league away game sees them travel to Barrow the following weekend.

Other games to look out for include Carlisle United at home on Saturday, August 28, Carlisle United away Saturday January 8 and they end the season at home to Colchester United on May 7.

The festive fixtures sees Pools travel to Mansfield Town on Boxing Day, with Oldham Athletic at home on New Year's Day.

Pools won promotion back to the Football League in dramatic fashion on Sunday afternoon.

Luke Armstrong - who is set to depart for Harrogate Town - had fired Pools ahead at Ashton Gate against Torquay United with Dave Challinor’s side less than a minute away from promotion back to the Football League.

Torquay United goalkeeper Lucas Covolan popped up to equalise deep into injury time to send the game into extra time, incredible drama and adding to the occasion at Ashton Gate.

Thankfully Pools held firm and won 5-4 on penalties to send the travelling 3,100 fans wild.

And those fans can now look forward to the 2021-22 campaign with the fixtures released in full on Thursday morning and here they are:
