Here's what our Hartlepool United writer Robbie Stelling made of the Pools players as their miserable end to the season continued in Hertfordshire.

5. Cameron John: 5
Did pretty well in the first half but won't have been too pleased with his role in two of Boreham Wood's goals. Failed to pick up Rush in the lead up to the in-form marksman's second - at the very least, he should have done more to warn Tom Parkes of the danger lurking over his shoulder - while he backed off the 25-year-old before he completed his hat-trick in added time. 6. Jack Hunter: 6
Was a bit ponderous in possession at times but never shied away from wanting the ball and did his best to secure a foothold in the contest for his side. In the end, his efforts were in vain as Pools were outclassed by the excellent Regan Booty and Tom White. Photo: Frank Reid

7. Jamie Miley: 6
Looked a bit lightweight on occasion but was one of a few players who tried to inject some urgency and intensity into his side's otherwise pedestrian performance. Was unfortunate to have been taken off when he was when there were others on the pitch surely more deserving of being hooked. Photo: Frank Reid

8. Charlie Caton: 5
Has shown some flashes of promise during his loan spell so far but looked lost on the right flank other than one or two pieces of diligent defensive work. Nicky Featherstone surely needs to play him alongside Alex Reid if he's to bring the best out of him. Photo: Frank Reid
