It was Pools’ first home match in over six months and it proved to be nothing more than a bit of exercise as four goals in the opening 20-minutes meant the game was over as any form of contest.

Pools were 7-0 to the good at half-time following goals from Claudio Ofosu, Aaron Cunningham, a trialist left-back and braces from Luke Williams and Mason Bloomfield.

Williams netted his hat-trick soon after the restart and made it 9-0 with his fourth of the game on the 70-minute mark. A late double from substitute Mark Shelton made it double figures with Gavan Holohan scoring on the full-time whistle to make it 12-0.
