A Nicky Featherstone penalty was cancelled out by Craig Tanner’s well-taken effort in the second half.

Then with four minutes left to play, Gavan Holohan turned in Ryan Donaldson’s cross on the line to see Pools claim an opening day victory for the first time in the National League.
