Hartlepool United got back to winning ways at Victoria Park as they came from behind to beat Northampton Town 2-1.

Second half goals from David Ferguson and Luke Molyneux cancelled out Sam Hoskins’ well taken opening goal to confirm a much needed three points for Pools.

Two minutes added time at the end of the first half

Half-time: Pools 0-0 Northampton - verdict from Dominic Scurr

After a poor start from Pools, they gradually started to get into the game as the half went on. Still struggling slightly with Northampton’s physical and high pressing approach and being forced into some mistakes but haven’t been punished so far.

At the other end, they have created a few decent opportunities themselves which could have quite easily been taken.

The Cobblers have edged the first half but it’s still goalless and all to play for.
