Hartlepool United have been knocked out of the FA Cup at the first round stage following a 2-0 extra-time defeat at Salford City.

After a goalless 90-minutes, substitutes Bruno Andrade and Mani Dieseruvwe secured the victory for The Ammies at Moor Lane.

It was Salford manager Richie Wellens’ first game in charge as Dave Challinor made six changes to his Pools side from last weekend’s defeat against Torquay United.
