Luke Armstrong’s ninth goal in 13 league games separated the sides despite Pools having numerous opportunities to extend their lead.

It’s now set to be over three months without dropping a point at home for Dave Challinor’s side as they now turn to Tuesday night’s trip to Halifax Town.
