John Askey’s side have won seven, lost seven and drawn one of their 15 games following their return to the National League as they occupy seventh place in the table.
Askey’s side were able to head into their mini-break from league football on the back of a 3-1 win over Eastleigh but who has stood out for Pools this season?
Here’s how Hartlepool have fared so far:

5. Dan Dodds - 7
Struggled on the opening day at Barnet before returning to form thereafter with a particularly strong display against AFC Fylde. Unfortunately that game will prove to be his last this season after picking up an ACL injury. Photo: FRANK REID NATIONALWORLD 2022

6. Zak Johnson - 6.5
Brought in on a short-term loan deal from Sunderland but has complimented the defence quite well and looks ahead of his years in terms of performance. Photo: Frank Reid

7. Emmanuel Onariase - 6.5
One of just two players to start all 15 league games so far following his summer arrival. Started really solidly before losing a little bit of form like the rest of his team-mates in September. Excellent in his most recent league outing against Eastleigh. Looks to be a decent addition all told. Photo: FRANK REID NATIONALWORLD 2022

8. Matt Dolan - NA
Has yet to start a league game this season, making just three substitute appearances totalling less than 60 minutes. Was kept out with a slight fitness issue recently but has otherwise been available. Seems unfortunate he has not been considered more at times this season. Photo: FRANK REID
