Goals from Matt Jarvis and Jack Cook saw Pools 2-0 down with little over quarter of an hour played in Surrey.

In the second half Slavi Spasov put the game beyond any doubt to make in 3-0 to The Cards. The hosts were reduced to 10 men after Max Kretzschmar was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Mark Shelton but that didn’t impact the scoreline as Pools were condemned to a heavy defeat.

Poolies were understandably angry following the full-time whistle, here’s how some of them reacted on Twitter…

Ian Redman: Woking's determination, hunger and energy were immeasurably greater than ours. And they're part-timers. That isn't acceptable. I seldom join the rush to criticise but it's impossible to defend that performance.”

David Bruce: “Just ordered a chicken tikka madras, veg pilau, keema nan and a couple of poppadoms with the money I saved not buying a stream. Cheers Pools!”

@whaitsey121: “Absolutely disgusting performance. No passion, no fight. No go.”

Jack Ashman: “Feel sorry for Dave, was the only who look like he cared.”

@hallydesigns: “Complete dross. Why can't we do the basics right? It just doesn't seem to matter who is the manager or who plays. We just lack heart, organisation, commitment and what seems like a plan. The cast changes all of the time but it's the same old story. Utterly depressing stuff.”

Nick Loughlin: “At least in the 80s and early 90s when Pools were rotten there was an honesty about it. Now there’s no heart about the team, no leaders, no fight. New lows every season and no sign of it stopping. Lose to Boreham Wood and Woking in a week.”

@welterw888: “Players need reminding that there's no level of professional football below the level they are currently failing at. Where do they think they are going to go if they get kicked out of here? Professional careers over before some of them have barely started.”

@Dan_James_24: “A very poor day today, but still only two points off the play-off places, so a bit of consistency will have us back in contention. The people who were saying book the open top bus early in the season were always being unrealistic. It's a tough league to get out of.”

@paulkeay: “This squad players are spineless. No leadership, no accountability, no responsibility...no hope.”

Sam Arnell: “If the players cared as much as Challinor did we wouldn’t be 11th, people are more frustrated about the inconsistency of the team as it’s just peaks and troughs all the time. We lack leadership as it’s a young squad and we have no bite about us.”

@Monkeyhanger3: “I just hope the players don’t get him the sack as that would be disastrous in my opinion. He makes a few decisions I question but the quality of the players he has to choose from is not good enough.”
