It will also be raising money for the Finlay Cooper Fund, the children’s charity set up by former Middlesbrough footballer and ex-Hartlepool United boss, Colin Cooper.

The tournament is for seven to 18 year-olds and will be divided into three sections, 7-10, 11-14 and 15-18.

Each winner will not only collect a prestigious title on a good golf course, but they will win a round with Storm at Rockliffe Hall, a club the Hartlepool star is attached to.

“I wanted to put on a tournament for the young golfers of the north of England,” Storm told SportMail from Qatar. “I’d like to encourage the young talent we have in our region.

“Hopefully the young players will come a long and enjoy the day.”
