There are plenty of events on in Hartlepool this summer.

So as we wait for the warmer weather to fully take hold, we have had a look at what's to come in the Hartlepool calendar. And, as usual, there's plenty of fun to be had for the whole family - animals and all. Music, running and dancing - see what takes your fancy in our list.

Saturday, June 22. Showered from head to toe in different colours of paint powder - this 5k is one with a difference.
Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16. A celebration of music in a number of venues across the town.
Sunday, July 28. The 7th annual 5k charity fun run and family fun day.

Sunday, June 30. Join the wave of pink and raise money in honour of someone special.
Saturday, June 29. This year's celebrations will mark both Armed Forces Day and the 75th Anniversary of D Day.
Thursday, August 1. The rides for this year's Hartlepool Carnival will open on Town Moor to herald the start of the celebrations.
Sunday, September 1. Brave teams will take to the water in a bid to come first.
Sunday, July 7. Your four-legged friends will take centre stage in a sponsored walk for a great cause.
Saturday, August 10. Don your costumes and take to the streets to celebrate the annual Hartlepool Carnival.
Sunday, June 30. A great day for the family with lots of things to see and do for all ages.
From Thursday, June 20 until Sunday, June 23. One of the most popular events in the annual calendar, head along to enjoy some fun, hopefully in the sun.
Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21. This year's theme is Harbour of Refuge and the festival will include a huge welcome party.
