Pools endured an extremely difficult evening at the Gateshead International Stadium and so it will be little surprise that there are no high scores in the ratings – take a look below:
5. Manny Onariase: 5
Not how he would have envisaged his return to the starting XI, he tripped Dajaune Brown for the penalty that resulted in the equaliser and looked all at sea in the second half. Photo: Frank Reid
6. Kwaku Oduroh: 5
The 21-year-old has not been helped by the fact that his two Pools appearances have come against two of the league's best sides, nor was he aided by his fellow defenders' struggles to adapt to the change in shape. That said, Gateshead runners were too often left untracked down his flank and he was substituted in the second half. Photo: Mark Fletcher
7. Nicky Featherstone: 6
He did brilliantly in the lead-up to the goal, keeping composed to turn out of trouble before picking out Joe Grey with a long ball. However, the game mostly passed him by thereafter and, as captain, he will be disappointed he wasn't able to restore any structure to Pools as they crumbled in the second half. Photo: Mark Fletcher
8. Terrell Agyemang: 5
Was never in the game as the home side dominated the midfield battle. Switched to wing-back in the second half and didn't find things any easier. Photo: FRANK REID 2024
