Film fanatics can now get a whole lot comfier when watching the latest releases following a full venue refurbishment at Vue Hartlepool, located in the Lanyard at Marina Way.

The investment sees 597 brand new, luxury leather recliner seats installed at the venue – complete with tables and drink holders. The upgrade means film fans can now enjoy the ultimate big screen experience in relaxation whilst watching their favourite characters come to life on the big screen.

Visitors to Vue Hartlepool will be able to watch the latest blockbusters within the venue’s seven screens, six of which are equipped with Sony 4k digital projection and Dolby 5.1 surround sound while the seventh screen will project in 3D, allowing viewers to fully feel like they are part of the action.

The recently completed refurbishment hasn’t just been exclusive to the screens though; the foyer and concourse area have also seen a full internal redecoration. The foyer has been given a modernised feel thanks to its newly installed digital film posters and large format display installation which will screen the latest blockbuster film trailers.

The site’s retail and hospitality areas have also received an exciting revamp, with customers now able to pick up their favourite snacks at the updated pick ‘n mix and retail counters. A Coca-Cola Freestyle machine will give visitors the freedom to explore, pour and enjoy the perfect drink of their choice from a selection of over 100 beverage options.

The refurb completion is perfectly timed, with Vue Hartlepool currently showing blockbusters including Barbie, Oppenheimer, The Meg 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Haunted Mansion. There will also be a fantastic selection of classic films, live theatre broadcasts and sporting events up on the big screen, meaning film fans are always spoiled for choice.

Accessibility has also been considered as part of the venue upgrades with 14 wheelchair bays and 14 companion seats featuring in the new seating layout.
