A letter to parents on Wednesday, September 16 –shared on the school’s website – said that pupils should continue to attend school as normal.
Lee Kirtley, Associate Executive Principal, said in a statement: ‘My immediate concern is for the individual who has tested positive and I am receiving regular updates on their progress.
“As the academy has been strictly observing the guidance on infection prevention and control by implementing the measures on social distancing, the use of bubbles, and additional cleaning, PHE do not feel it is necessary for any other students or staff to self-isolate at this stage as the risk of transmission has been reduced.
