Drugs and weapons seized as part of campaign to target organised crime

Two men are in custody tonight after a raid saw class A drugs and weapons including an axe recovered by police.

A drugs warrant was carried out at a property in Londonderry Road, Stockton, on Friday, February 21, as part of Operation Sentinel, a region-wide campaign to disrupt and prevent organised crime.

Class A drugs and weapons, including a knife, axe and hammer, were recovered with men aged 37 and 44 arrested.

Both remain in custody.

Cleveland Police said the search was carried out with the support of the North East Regional Special Operations Unit (Nersou) disruption team and Police Dog Sam.
