Hartlepool man due before Teesside Magistrates Court charged with murder of Mark Davison from Easington

A Hartlepool man is due in court after being charged with the murder of 59-year-old East Durham man.

The 47-year-old suspect is charged with the murder of Mark Davison from Easington after a reported incident in May last year.

The man is due to appear before Teesside Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 24, Cleveland Police said on Monday.

Mr Davison died following an incident in the Gainford Street area of York Road, in Hartlepool, on Friday, May 27, 2022, at around 2.10pm.

Despite receiving medical treatment from paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr Davison was described by his family as a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who would be dearly missed.

He had many friends in the UK and also Gambia

His family added that he was “a larger than life character” who was taken too soon.

A 46-year-old woman previously arrested in connection with the incident was released with no further action.
