Pair arrested after man injured following Hartlepool disturbance

A man needed hospital treatment for head and leg injuries following an incident in which two other people were arrested.

The detained pair, a 28-year-old man and 45-year-old woman, were quizzed on suspicion of aggravated burglary and later released under investigation while Hartlepool Police inquiries continue.

Cleveland Police said in a statement on Thursday: “Police were called to a report of a disturbance on Stephen Street in Hartlepool at 12.30am this morning, Thursday, April 22, 2021.

“A male aged 37 had suffered injuries to his head and leg and received treatment in hospital and was released.

A 28-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and they have been released under investigation.
