A Cleveland Police statement on Friday read: “Police are urgently appealing to trace missing 51 year old Peter David Owens who was last seen in the Hartlepool area at 6am this morning, Friday, 19th March.

“It is believed he might have travelled to Scarborough on a white and blue scooter (reg ending AXS).

“He was last seen wearing camouflage trousers and a blue fleece with red sleeves.
