Warning to Hartlepool families as 'three men' spotted trying to access homes and vehicles

Cleveland Police has issued a warning after officers received reports of three men trying to enter vehicles and properties in Hartlepool.

Members of the public are being encouraged by police to protect their valuables from potential thieves after a group of men tried to gain access to a number of vehicles and properties in the town.

In a statement on social media on Tuesday, July 14, Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police Team said the incident happened at around 1am on Saturday, July 10, in the Hylton Road area of Hartlepool.

Police are now reminding residents to ensure their doors and windows are locked on both their properties and vehicles.

Members of the public are also encouraged to remove all valuables out of sight from potential criminals.

Officers investigating the incident are asking anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage showing the males at the time of the incident to contact them by calling 101.
