Air ambulance called out to incident in Hartlepool

The air ambulance was called to an incident in Hartlepool.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service was asked to fly to an address in the town at around 3pm today to assist ambulance crews with an incident.

But on arrival the air ambulance was stood down by the North East Ambulance Service.

The air ambulance service was unable to confirm the location of the incident or what it involved.

A spokesman for the service said: “We flew to Hartlepool at 3.26pm and were stood down shortly on arrival by the North East Ambulance Service.”

Cleveland Police have been contacted for comment.
