Campaign in tribute to Hartlepool cyclist Graham Pattison to help save life-saving charities

A funding page has been set up by the 49-year-old’s friends, with his wife Victoria deciding the Great North Air Ambulance, whose crew battled to save him, and road safety campaign Brake should benefit.

As they launched the site, which has already raised more than £2,000, his workmates at software firm HCM IRIS paid tribute to project manager Graham, who was dad to Julia and Evie.

It said: “A dear friend and colleague for many of us, Graham had a warehouse-sized stock of humour at the ready to lighten our day and spread laughter on any occasion – Dad jokes were abound.

"Outside of work, Graham was a passionate coach for local girls’ football teams – including his own daughters – and loved walking in the countryside with his family and dogs.

"An avid cyclist, he took every opportunity he could to get on his bike and ride across our region.

"As a lover of 70s and 80s music, he generously encouraged the different generations, particularly younger, to appreciate music from this ‘golden’ era and broaden their musical horizons.

"He loved sharing his home-baked goodies with the office, often bringing in flapjacks, cakes and gingersnaps - think Angel cake while listening to Duran Duran.

They said: “Graham was a dearly loved husband, father and son.

“We are in shock at his loss and our lives will never be the same without him.”
