Emergency services called after body of man is found in Hartlepool village

The body of a man was discovered in a Hartlepool village earlier today, Monday, March 1.

Cleveland Police and the North East Ambulance Service were sent to Egerton Terrace, Greatham, at around 7.30am, with a man aged in his 60s pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesperson said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
