Manor Community Academy pays tribute to Hartlepool teenager Ben Catchpole
Manor Community Academy says it is shocked and devastated by the death of Ben, also known as Benji, on Sunday, May 24.
Northern Education Trust, which the academy is part, of has paid tribute to Ben saying how well liked he was within school and how much he will be missed.

Hide AdThey told of Ben's great potential and of his ambition to join the army.
A book of condolence is to be opened online soon.
The trust said: “Ben was an extremely likeable young man within Manor Community Academy and his presence will be greatly missed.
“He was a very popular student in his year group and was well liked across the wider school by both students and staff.
“Ben was a very bright young man, who had great potential to achieve his dreams.

Hide Ad“He thoroughly enjoyed participating in sport and had big plans for the future as he wanted to serve in the army.
“Staff and students are shocked and completely devastated at the incredibly sad news of his death, and our heartfelt condolences and support go to Ben’s family and friends.
“An online Book of Condolence is being set up for Ben, and further details of this will be published shortly.”
Hartlepool charity Miles for Men has created a JustGiving page to help give Benji a fitting send off.
