Police divers search Marina in hunt for missing Hartlepool man Adam Thomas

Police divers have started a new underwater search in the ongoing hunt for a man who has been missing for nearly five days.

Adam Thomas, 21, from Hartlepool, was last seen in the Church Street area of town on Saturday, August 17, at around 11pm.

Emergency services have carried out one search of Hartlepool Marina on Monday and have returned to the area on Wednesday morning.

Divers are beginning their investigation in waters near the bandstand and Premier Inn.

Adam was reported missing to Cleveland Police on Sunday.

Adam is described as a white male, around 5ft 9in tall, of slim build with brown hair, which is now short compared to the length shown in this photograph.

It is not known what Adam clothes was wearing when he went missing although officers believe that he was wearing red shoes.

Anyone with information regarding Adam’s whereabouts is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting event number 141823.
