When Hartlepool Harry Styles tribute performer met his idol at Wembley stadium
A Harry Styles tribute act from Hartlepool met his idol after the star spotted him in the crowd as part of a record breaking Wembley show.
Singer Sean Mcnicholas, from the town, has been performing a Harry Styles tribute act for over two years in Benidorm where he is now based.

He caught Harry’s eye in a show at Wembley stadium which later saw the former One Direction star awarded a Guinness World Record for the longest run of concerts by a musician at the famous venue.
Harry noticed Sean, 35, holding up a sign and took part in some banter while being featured on the stadium’s big screens. Sean said: “It was a last minute decision to go. Me and my girlfriend just thought let’s do it.

“I was seated quite far back, but got tickets to be in the disco pod. As he was singing Adore You he noticed me and saw the sign."
Harry read out Sean’s sign which read: “I am a Harry Styles tribute. Will you cover my shift?”
The singer asked him his name before replying: “I’m already doing my shift!” and then suggested they could switch places if he needed an urgent toilet break, to the cheer of the crowd.
Sean said: “It was literally the most surreal experience of my entire life.
“It was the best night of my life. I can’t explain, the feeling was just incredible.”
He added: “Later when he saw me dancing he said “Let’s see it Sean.”
Sean, who previously attended Hartlepool’s Val Armstrong performing arts school, said his social media has “skyrocketed” since sharing a video of the memorable moment.
Explaining his admiration for Styles, he added: “I was already a fan of his music and thought I’d be able to give a good level of authenticity.
“I started learning his mannerisms and dance moves and really trying to capture his aura and stage presence.”
Previous videos of him performing as Styles have also gone viral and led to him appearing on Lorraine Kelly’s TV programme.
As well his regular tribute act in Benidorm, Sean is due to appear on stage with a band around the UK.
“I’m very excited about it,” he said.
Look out for him also at Leeds Festival on July 19.
