For the second time this week and fifth time in total this season, Pools have had a match postponed due to the weather.

Following a 10am pitch inspection on Friday at the Crabble Athletic Ground, the pitch was deemed waterlogged and Saturday’s match was cancelled.

Pools were two hours into a 330-mile trip down to Kent but promptly turned the bus around as attentions turn to Tuesday night’s match at home to Solihull Moors (6pm kick-off).

But some fans were quick to voice their frustration on social media as yet another Pools away match was called off – here’s what they had to say...

@petestephenson2: “We haven’t played them at home yet, couldn’t we just reverse the fixture and play down there later in the season? Not like we need to worry about fans getting there or anything.”

@_CJenkins95: “Getting fed up with this now, no surprise Dover want the season to end also."

@hepple9931: “More than 24 hours before kick off what a joke suppose it saves the lads getting down there then calling it off but can see it becoming common teams down the bottom doing best to get out of play for the next four weeks.”

@Danthom03: “You go into Saturday knowing you have a 50% chance of a game being played. You can’t even get excited for the game, it just sets you up for disappointment. I’ve been assuming this game was cancelled since Monday, so I don’t even feel annoyed.”

@MarkReeve85: “Some of our fans shouldn’t be allowed social media.”

@SteveArrundale: “Why don’t we play the Halifax game tomorrow then, they don’t have a game and the snow will be gone by then?”

Pools’ match at Halifax has been called off three times this season, prompting plenty of animosity between the two fan bases on Twitter.

But some Halifax fans saw the funny side.

@AFCHalifax2006 responded to the suggestion of Pools playing Halifax: “Good idea and will give us plenty of time to prepare the pitch so it’s unplayable tomorrow.”

@MarkFCHT said: “It's a conspiracy involving Halifax and Dover against Hartlepool United. Hartlepool Mail, you need to look into this.”

Thanks Mark, but we’ll be leaving the conspiracy theories to Twitter!
