Goalscorer Peter Kioso assesses Hartlepool United's two headed goals in 2-2 draw against Yeovil Town and his argument with teammate Gus Mafuta

Kioso levelled things up inside the opening half-hour as he quickly cancelled out Matt Worthington’s opener by rising highest to head in Ryan Donaldson’s free-kick delivery.

In the second half, it was up to Gus Mafuta to level things up for Pools as he flicked Nicky Featherstone’s ball into the right side of the goal to make it 2-2 and secure a point.

Following the game, Kioso admitted that the goalscoring pair had a light-hearted debate regarding which goal was better.

“We’ve had a few arguments in the changing room about it,” he said.

“What I’ve said to Gus is that I’ve put mine into the corner, the ball is coming towards me and I’ve sent it back that way.

“Gus has put his in the corner as well but I think some people won’t notice and won’t remember but Featherstone’s ball to Gus was outstanding in my opinion. To put it in that area was brilliant and obviously the rest was up to Gus but it was still an amazing header from him.

“To draw is a hard one to take knowing we should have got three points because we played well even when we were behind.

“It’s just little things that cost us three points but we know what we need to do and what we need to work on.”
