Hartlepool United complete loan signing of Brad James on loan from Middlesbrough until the end of the season
Hartlepool United have completed a deadline day signing with goalkeeper Brad James joining on loan from Middlesbrough until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper joins as cover for Henrich Ravas with number one Ben Killip ruled out for the remainder of the season with an elbow injury.
Pools boss Dave Challinor told The Mail that bringing in goalkeeper cover was a priority ahead of the player registration deadline at 5pm on Thursday.
After progressing through the ranks at Boro, James spent last season on loan at Gateshead in the National League North where he made 33 appearances in all competitions. His most notable contribution for the Heed came in the play-offs as he saved three penalties in a shoot out at Brackley to help the side progress to the semi-finals.
He also spent a loan at National League side Aldershot Town earlier in the season, keeping a clean sheet and earning a man of the match award on his debut against Notts County.
