After a successful loan spell last season, Odusina has returned to the club and Challinor is delighted to have secured another signing.

It follows the permanent arrival of former Salford City midfielder Mark Shelton on Saturday morning, a busy day at The Vic with several signings being unveiled ahead of the new campaign getting underway in early October.

The 20-year-old arrived from Premier League side Norwich City in January and went on to partner Gary Liddle for the final eight matches of the campaign, helping the side keep four clean sheets in the process.

Odusina had been with The Canaries since he was 14 when he made a move from Arsenal and he signed professional terms at Carrow Road in 2016.

Since then he’s gone on to skipper City’s Under-23 side in Premier League 2 before gaining senior experience with his spell at Mill Farm last season.

Challinor has previously worked with him at AFC Fylde in the 2018-19 season.

The Pools boss said: “Timi is a great signing for us as he is such a useful player to have in the squad.

"As he we saw last season he’s a quick lad which definitely comes in use. I know the fans really warmed to him as well so I’m happy to get him back.”
