The 21-year-old centre-back joins on loan until January and is eligible to play in Saturday’s FA Cup first round tie at Salford City after Pools confirmed his registration before Friday’s noon deadline.

Injuries to first-choice centre-back pair Gary Liddle and Timi Odusina means Magloire is likely to be thrust straight into the starting 11 at Moor Lane.

Magloire spent last season on loan at League One side Rochdale but was restricted to just five appearances in all competitions. He has also started two Championship games for Rovers and featured regularly for their under-23s.

The defender is also known for breaking Blackburn’s top speed record after clocking a speed of 10.6 metres per second last year. This was put into perspective as Paris Saint Germain speedster Kylian Mbappe recorded a speed of 10.55 metres per second that same week.
