The hectic schedule will start at home to Solihull Moors on Tuesday night as Pools look to climb back up the table having dropped to fourth in the National League following the postponement at Dover Athletic on Saturday.

The contrast in fixtures in January and February is something Hartlepool manager Dave Challinor is welcoming as he looks to get games played and points on the board.

On the contrast, Challinor told The Mail: “You can look at opposition in more detail when you don’t have as many games and when there’s a quick turnaround, the players have to take on information quickly through videos and paper detail.

"I think as players, they’ll prefer to be playing games and this month it’s a case of play, recover, prepare, play and that cycle will continue for the next three weeks and we need to get used to it again.

"Hopefully our squad is in a good enough place to deal with the change.

"There’s a good chance if someone has a knock on a Saturday then they’ll be out for the Tuesday.

"That’ll show our preparation and how the players know their jobs and the players who haven’t been in the side know their jobs should they come in.”
