“As with everything, it would be wrong not to give the people who are in the building the opportunity to show what they can do,” he told The Mail.
“After that, it becomes my job to make sure if they can’t do that, whether that be through to loss of form, loss of confidence or a lack of ability which I don’t think is the case, then we have to look at things."
Hartlepool’s strikers have just one goal between them after seven league matches with neither David Parkhouse, Mason Bloomfield or Rhys Oates able to stake a claim and secure a regular starting spot in the side.

While Challinor would like to address things by bringing in a proven goalscorer, things aren’t quite that simple.
“It’s easier said than done,” he admitted.
"Do I want to bring in someone who is a goalscorer who can almost guarantee us goals? Absolutely. How many goalscorers who can guarantee goals are available right now? That’s the hard point of it and it’s not a case of just bringing anybody in.
"We’ll look at things because we’re obviously a little bit short in terms of little niggles we’ve picked up over the last couple of games so we’ll see where we’re at.
