Hartlepool United player ratings as Pools made to settle for an FA Cup replay by National League North outfit Brackley Town

Hartlepool United were made to settle for an FA Cup replay as Pools drew 1-1 with National League North outfit Brackley Town on Saturday. Darren Sarll's side were outplayed for large parts of the first half and were more than a little fortunate to only find themselves one down at the break following George Carline's 33rd minute goal. The hosts were much-improved in the second half and Sarll's substitutes again made an impact, with Adam Campbell salvaging a draw late on with his first Pools goal. Here's how the Pools players rated.

Here's how our Pools writer rated the players following Saturday's draw with Brackley - do you agree?

5. David Ferguson: 5

Remained pretty calm and composed despite some erratic defending around him but didn't influence the game as much as he might've liked. Photo: Frank Reid

6. Greg Sloggett: 4

Another disappointing display from the struggling Sloggett. Gave the ball away too often and was a peripheral figure before being hooked after 53 minutes having made almost no impact. Clearly a talented and intelligent footballer who, given time, can still be a real asset for Pools. Photo: Frank Reid

7. Nathan Sheron: 6

More industrious than impactful. Worked his socks off and won a handful of trademark tackles, but lacked quality in possession and lashed one effort miles over the bar from the edge of the box. Photo: Frank Reid

8. Joe Grey: 5

Worked tirelessly but struggled to get into the game and was brushed off the ball too easily on a handful of occasions. One excellent cross for Mathurin but quiet other than that. Photo: Frank Reid
