It is set to be a very busy summer at The Vic and we’ll be right across every big development both online and in print. Earlier this week, owner and chairman Landon Smith revealed season ticket prices are to be frozen, a welcome boost for the loyal Pools fanbase.

The early-bird tickets went on sale from Friday, May 1 and Hartlepool United chiefs say the decision to freeze prices comes ‘in recognition of the continued loyalty and backing of supporters’, while ensuring football at the Prestige Group Stadium remains accessible amid the ongoing cost-of-living pressures’.

There will also be major changes to the Pools squad this summer with just three players currently under contract. And then there is the small matter of who the next Pools boss will be too, with Nicky Featherstone no longer in charge, though his long-term future could yet remain at the club in a coaching capacity.

Plenty then, to keep on top of. And to help you do just that, The Mail has launched a new WhatsApp HUFC Channel to bring the latest news, analysis and team & injury updates direct to your phone. Simply click this link to join our HUFC WhatsApp channel.

In another new development for our HUFC coverage, The Mail is also sending daily Hartlepool United updates via a newsletter - direct to your phone. Get the latest Hartlepool United headlines in your inbox with our free Pools newsletter.

On the frozen season ticket prices, Landon Smith, chairman and owner of Hartlepool United, said: “Our supporters are the foundation of this club, and freezing season ticket prices for the 2026/27 campaign was an important decision for us. Pools fans are special. They live and breathe this club, and the loyalty we see from them deserves to be recognised.

“We want to ensure that following Hartlepool United remains accessible for as many people as possible. When the stadium is full and driving the team on, it creates a real connection between the players and the supporters. That energy is a powerful part of who we are, and it has a big role to play in where we want to go.

“We are clear about our ambition. We want to move this club forward and do it in a way that is sustainable for the long term. We need our supporters with us. Their voice, their passion and their belief will be key to what comes next. That is the standard we are setting, and this is part of delivering it.”
