It's safe to say a lot has changed at Victoria Park since then. Four years on from one of the greatest days in the club's history, we've taken a look at where the members of the promotion-winning squad have ended up.

5. Ryan Johnson
The powerful defender has turned out for the likes of Port Vale, Stockport and Wimbledon since leaving Pools in the summer of 2021. He is vice-captain at the Dons and was part of the side that won promotion to League One via the play-offs last season, with Wimbledon boasting the division's best defensive record. 6. David Ferguson
The defender is one of just three members of the 2021 promotion-winning squad still at Pools, along with Nicky Featherstone and Joe Grey. Ferguson, who turned 31 earlier this month, was appointed captain after Pools were relegated back to the National League in 2023 but seemed to struggle with the weight of the armband and came in for considerable criticism before relinquishing his role as skipper. Ferguson, who has made more than 200 appearances at Victoria Park, is out of contract this summer and has been linked with a move to National League rivals Gateshead. Photo: Frank Reid

7. Mark Shelton
Part of the midfield 'wolf pack', Shelton was part of the Barnet side that won the National League title last season, scoring 12 goals in 34 games. Photo: Mark Fletcher

8. Nicky Featherstone
Featherstone, who captained the side at Ashton Gate, has gone on to break countless records at Pools and is now the club's third highest appearance maker of all-time despite having left briefly in the summer of 2023 following what was later termed a "misunderstanding" after he re-signed in October. The veteran, who will turn 37 in September, signed a player-coach role under Darren Sarll but continued to play an integral role on the pitch last term, making 44 appearances. Pools are set to hold a testimonial in his honour against a Leeds United XI next month. Photo: Frank Reid
