Nicky Featherstone is a doubt after suffering a knee injury during last Saturday’s 1-0 win over Sutton United. The midfielder has started every single National League match under Dave Challinor but will be a doubt for the trip to the Crabble Athletic Ground.

Gavan Holohan will also miss the game through suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season last weekend. Luke Molyneux will serve the second of his three match suspension following his sending off at Weymouth.

“The only potential doubt we have is with Feath,” Challinor told The Mail.

“He tweaked a medial ligament in a challenge against Sutton. He wouldn’t have played on Tuesday [at Halifax Town] but we’ll see how he settles. We hope it’s not too serious and certainly improved over the week.”

Pools’ postponed midweek match at Halifax has given Challinor and his players a full week to prepare for Saturday’s clash on the South Coast.

“The luxury we have this week, Feaths has been given an extra few days [to recover],” added the Pools boss.

“We’ve got Thursday off so we’ll see how things develop and make a decision around where he’s at and whether we think he should travel. We’ll ask to things really, do we think it’s worth the risk and do we think he’ll be in a position to be involved in the squad?

"Apart from that and aside from the suspensions, we’re in pretty good shape and go there full of confidence.”
