The rearranged fixture at the Silverlake Stadium will now kick-off at 5pm with Pools now opting to travel on Monday opposed to the day of the game.

It will be the second time Dave Challinor’s side have made the long journey to Eastleigh this season after the original fixture was abandoned at half-time due to a waterlogged pitch.

After a fairly relaxed 2021 in terms of away travelling so far, it’s going to be a busy few days for Hartlepool with a trip to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday (3pm kick-off) before the journey down to Hampshire for Tuesday’s match.

“It’s a tough one with Eastleigh, our initial process was that we would potentially travel on the day and stay overnight on the Tuesday before training on the way back home on Wednesday,” Challinor told The Mail.

“What we’re looking at is kick-off being earlier and brought forward to 5pm, that’s what we’re looking at doing and travelling down on Monday.

"It’s going to be a quick turnaround and it feels like we won’t be back in the North East of the country for the next week!

"It will be a busy few days travelling, training on the way down to Eastleigh on the Monday and heading straight back after the game on Tuesday which gives us a normal two day lead in to Yeovil next Saturday.”
