Head of football operations Joe Monks leaves Hartlepool United
Hartlepool United's head of football operations Joe Monks has stepped down from his role in order to take up a position at another club, Pools have confirmed.
Monks has divided opinion among the Pools fanbase since his arrival from Stockport County, where he was head of emerging talent, in 2023.

He leaves following the recent arrival of specialist football consultancy firm Bromby and Partners, who were hired by Pools owner Landon Smith to conduct a review of the club's operations, and his departure follows in the wake of news that Nicky Featherstone is set to step down as manager at the end of the season.
"I would like to thank the staff, players and supporters for their support during my time at the club," Monks said.
"I feel this is the right time for me to move on to a new opportunity. I am proud of the work carried out behind the scenes and wish the club every success moving forward."
Meanwhile, Smith added: "Joe has worked with professionalism during his time at the club and has made a positive contribution across a number of areas.
"We thank him for his efforts and wish him well for the future."
