Our Hartlepool United writer is backing Lennie Lawrence to make three changes ahead of Saturday's game against relegation-threatened Braintree.

9. Attacking-midfield: Adam Campbell
Was rested on Tuesday night as he continues to regain full fitness following a groin problem. Pools missed him in midweek and he should be straight back into the side. For all his work without the ball is exalted and admired, his attacking output leaves a little to be desired. If Braintree sit off Pools, then it could be a welcome chance for Campbell to influence the game in the final third. Photo: Frank Reid

10. Left-wing: Reyes Cleary
Allowed Idris Kanu to glide past him far too easily for Barnet's opening goal on Tuesday evening but had a pretty good game other than that. Didn't see loads of the ball, but when he did he demonstrated impressive pace and considerable skill and invention. Will want to get off the mark sooner rather than later and should keep improving as he gets more minutes under his belt. Photo: Frank Reid

11. Striker: Mani Dieseruvwe
With Gary Madine returning to the squad in midweek following a slight groin strain, Lennie Lawrence will have a decision to make between the veteran and Mani Dieseruvwe, who is without a goal in his last five matches. Of course, the Pools boss could opt to start the pair alongside one another as he did against Oldham and Wealdstone, but Adam Campbell's return makes that possibility seem somewhat unlikely. Madine is in better form in front of goal and has scored six times in his last seven appearances but Dieseruvwe's all round work is so impressive he could get the nod again. Whoever leads the line, Pools must work hard to get them in more goalscoring positions. Photo: Frank Reid
