Pools ran out 7-0 winners in an impressive performance with goals raining in from all over the park– here, our Hartlepool United reporter Dominic Scurr rates every Pools player on the pitch yesterday evening. Agree with our ratings? Let us know on social media.
5. Adam Bale - 8
The busiest player on the pitch for the best part of an hour. Bale was constantly looking to get on the ball and cut out a lot of things that came within his vicinity. Photo: JPIMedia
6. Josh Hawkes - 7
Another player who frustrated prior to a stunning goal. Hawkes was always looking to make things happen but often ran into danger and conceded possession. But as ever, it’s the one moment of class people will remember as he curled a stunning effort right into the top corner from the edge of the box. Photo: Mark Fletcher
7. Niko Muir - 6
An attacking focal point in the first half though squandered his best opportunity of the match by hitting the crossbar from close range after Richardson played the ball across goal. Photo: Mark Fletcher
8. Gus Mafuta - 7
A solid display from Pools’ latest addition. Mafuta saw plenty of the ball and kept things interesting in the middle of the park. Photo: Paul Thomas
