Goals from Aidan Keena and Mark Shelton stretched Pools’ unbeaten run to four matches and saw them move to within three points of the final play-off place.
Dave Challinor welcomed top scorer Gime Toure back to the fray while new defensive signings Macauley Southam-Hales and Timi Odusina were thrust straight into the starting XI for their debuts despite only agreeing their loan deals on Thursday.

1. Mitch Beeney - 7
Had a shaky moment early on as he spilled a cross. Was rarely tested until the latter stages where he stood tall and made several decent saves and punches. First clean sheet for the club. | Other 3rd Party Photo: Mark Fletcher
2. LB - Mark Kitching
Bombed up and down the left flank all afternoon covering plenty of ground. Was rarely troubled throughout the afternoon and given licence to drive forward with mixed results. | Other 3rd Party Photo: Paul Paxford

3. Gary Liddle - 6
An early slip almost allowed Stockport to take the lead. Recovered fairly well though not his most convincing display in a Pools shirt. | Other 3rd Party Photo: Mark Fletcher
4. Timi Odusina - 7
Will have to get up to pace with the National League once again after a spell back in youth team football. Generally comfortable and positive on the ball after a slightly unsure start. A solid debut. | Other 3rd Party Photo: Mark Fletcher
