The 22-year-old defender’s loan at Hartlepool United ended last weekend as he returned to his parent club.

Rovers are currently short of back-up at the back after loaning Hayden Carter out to League One side Burton Albion earlier this month.

Magloire impressed during his spell at Pools, playing 11 games in all competitions and scoring his first ever senior goal in a 3-1 win at Yeovil Town back in November.

Since his arrival, Pools have climbed up to second in the National League table as they hope to mount their first promotion challenge in over a decade.

And Challinor has expressed his desire to bring the pacy centre-back back to Victoria Park but conceded that any potential move is out of his hands.

“It’s a difficult one as it tends to be with loan players,” he told The Mail. “At the moment, Blackburn have got one senior fit centre-back so with Tyler coming back, he could potentially be involved with them.

“They’ve got a centre-back coming back but it’s weeks rather than days and I know they’re looking to bring in someone which could change the landscape [for Magloire].

“So it’s not a no just yet on Tyler, it’s a maybe. He joined us at the pre-match for Halifax and I know he’s disappointed because he enjoyed his spell and enjoyed playing for us and learning in a very demanding environment.

"It’s not a no and fingers crossed something gets done but it’s out of our hands really.”

The Hartlepool manager now faces a difficult decision whether to bide his time with the hope that Magloire becomes available, or quickly dive into the market and secure a replacement while he can.

“From our perspective, it’s about whether we can afford to wait or whether we should take another option while it’s there and not risk missing out on both,” he added.

"There’s no certainty as to whether Tyler will be allowed back out because Blackburn don’t know if they’ll get players in. We’ll just have to see where we are and take it day by day, if we need to make decisions then we’ll make them.”
